Amy & Cameron. Bride & Groom. Mr. & Mrs. Brooks. Forever & Always.
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Cameron Brooks! On May 20th, Amy & Cameron tied the knot on the five year anniversary of the beginning of their relationship. We were so happy to come celebrate their day with them!
The happy couple had planned a simple–but beautiful–intimate outdoor ceremony. Immediate family and grandparents witnessed Amy and Cameron’s vows at the Brown County State Park Nature Center. Brown County holds a lot of memories for the Moody family–particularly of Moody family reunions planned by Uncle Tim. It was like having a little bit of Uncle Tim there with us since Brown County was special to him.
Amy’s colors were purple and silver, with the ampersand tying all the decorations together. It was a lovely day!
Stephanie was Amy’s Matron of Honor, while Cameron’s brother Austin stood up for him as the Best Man. Silas was the ringbearer, and David & I provided the music. Tammy coordinated the rehearsal and ceremony, Tim recorded the day on video, and everyone had a part in making the celebration special.
Grandma Moody even made it down from Indy, and (just as she had for Stephanie’s wedding) she brought a special family handkerchief for Amy’s “something old.” Grandma also met her great grandson, Cooper Andrew for the first time. I’m so happy she got to kiss his little chubby face!
Silas wore his new silver tie and carried the pillow down the aisle with just one hesitation. He wasn’t sure if he should walk on the aisle runner since it hadn’t been there during the rehearsal. His daddy managed to convince him it was okay, and Silas made it all the way to the front by himself!
Amy Jo was a beautiful bride. She was radiantly in love with her Cameron. As Pastor Josh Crockett officiated the ceremony and the couple exchanged their vows, tiny white flowers floated down from the trees and landed softly all around. Such a gorgeous setting for such a happy day! After the vows were said, the parents formed a circle around the couple and both fathers offered prayers while David sang and played “Here Is Love.”
They were pronounced husband & wife.
The reception celebration took place in the Allison Room of the lodge. The tables were set with personalized etched glasses at each setting. Amy & Cameron had done the etching themselves as wedding favors for everyone. And since Cameron has his degree in culinary arts, he made his own wedding cake. It was stunning!
Several of us slipped away to decorate the getaway car with balloons, ribbon, heart-shaped post-its, bowties streaming out the trunk, and a “Just Married” flag. Amy & Cameron made their exit as we cheered for the new Mr. & Mrs. Cameron Brooks!
It looks like such a beautiful and relaxing celebration, what a cute couple they make 🙂
