Quick Trip North

We were longing for a change of scenery, so we packed up the boys and drove up to Prescott this past Saturday. The Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary was our destination. It was perfect for our two munchkins!feb1002

The weather was chilly, so we nestled the boys in the wagon, and visited the animals. feb1001We hurried to the bear habitat to see Shash eat his lunch. feb1003All the animals in the sanctuary have been rescued, orphaned, or cannot otherwise take care of themselves in the wild. feb1004feb1006We visited the eagles, bobcats, wallabies, and other animals, but the boys loved the playgrounds best.feb1005feb1007

The small zoo was just the right size for our boys’ short attention spans. They had a blast on the playground equipment, and then we ate an early supper in downtown Prescott before driving home. Short and sweet, but it was fun to get away!feb1008

(psst! can you spot Silas in this pic?)
