We were longing for a change of scenery, so we packed up the boys and drove up to Prescott this past Saturday. The Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary was our destination. It was perfect for our two munchkins!
The weather was chilly, so we nestled the boys in the wagon, and visited the animals. We hurried to the bear habitat to see Shash eat his lunch. All the animals in the sanctuary have been rescued, orphaned, or cannot otherwise take care of themselves in the wild. We visited the eagles, bobcats, wallabies, and other animals, but the boys loved the playgrounds best.
The small zoo was just the right size for our boys’ short attention spans. They had a blast on the playground equipment, and then we ate an early supper in downtown Prescott before driving home. Short and sweet, but it was fun to get away!
(psst! can you spot Silas in this pic?)
So glad you were able to have a quick getaway!
