Leaving for Indiana

Well, today is my last day in South Carolina. I’m leaving for Indiana first thing in the morning. Fortunately I didn’t have to pack and load all by myself, since a couple of good friends from church, Matt and Chad, came to help. Having their help made the job immensely easier.

I think I’ve been living here almost exactly one week less than two years. It’s been a good time, but I’m ready for this stage (the waiting stage 🙂 ) of my life to be over, so I’m relieved that moving day is finally here. I’m sure that over the next few weeks reality will set in, but right now it mostly feels like a dream.

I have a lot to do this week, but I’m expecting the pace to be a little more managable than the previous few have been. After that it’s off to help with the wedding for a week, then the honeymoon. We both start teachers’ in-service training immediately when we get back, with school officially starting the week after that. Altogether this next month is going to be incredibly busy, but I’m sure it will also be one of the best of my life, and I’m really looking forward to getting started, beginning tomorrow.
