A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Tolmachoff Farms is right in the heart of Phoenix–such a surprising place for a little bit of country. Silas had his first farm experience today. What did he think? Well…I do have to admit that, from his perspective, the goat and donkey were very scary! To a child who is never around animals, these creatures did not look friendly. Poor boy!Although he never really warmed up to the farm animals, holding him at eye level did help a lot. He let me put his hand on the pony, and he walked in the pen with the goats. We explored the play areas and the pumpkin patch. Silas was fascinated with the big orange pumpkins. Before leaving, we picked out a baby pumpkin for our Baby Punkin’ to take home.
