Children’s Museum

I’ve been wanting to post again, but I’m still learning how to do this. Stephen’s been so busy grading and judging over 60 science fair projects that he hasn’t been able to help me until now.

This past Monday we didn’t have school in celebration of Presidents’ Day. So, Stephen and I decided to go down to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the admission on Presidents’ Day is free! The museum was so cool! We spent about 4 hours in there, and we don’t even have kids. 🙂 They had one really neat display called “Fireworks of Glass.” It was a 4 story glass sculpture pieced together to look like fireworks. Hopefully I can post a picture so you don’t have to just imagine it. The museum also had a train and village display, construction zone, hydraulics and dam display, dinosaur dome, Passport to the World (foreign country display), fun house, garden of glass, and much more! We were thankful that all the crying children weren’t ours. 🙂

  1. The museum sounds like fun! Allison and I went to the Chicago Children’s Museum last year though she did not enjoy it nearly as much as I did. I know in Chicago and also in Baltimore, teachers get in museums free–you should check on that too if you’re going in the future. Hope all is well and you’ve recovered from all that snow!
