Earlier this week I snapped this pictures of a spontaneous storytime with Daddy after work. Stephen does all the character voices when reading Huge Harold. Bill Peet books are some of Stephen’s favorites for the boys.
On Tuesday I took the boys to storytime at the library. Silas wore his baseball uniform (which he calls a “bediform” for some reason). He sat on a carpet square as he listened to the stories about caterpillars and butterflies. He even got to help put up a picture for The Very Hungry Caterpillar story.
We sang songs and did fingerplays. Cooper was mesmerized by my finger butterflies that flew around his car seat.
After the story, the librarian played some parachute games with the kids. Mostly the kids just loved shaking the parachute up and down. Then everybody got a sticker and a butterfly coloring sheet to take home. We finished up our library trip with some puzzle play and checking out new books to read.
Yay for storytime!! 🙂
