Thanksgiving is such a great holiday. It’s all about gratitude, God, family, food, togetherness, football and beginning of the Christmas season. I know, I know, there’s shopping involved too, but I love that we don’t exchange gifts for Thanksgiving. It seems as though our hearts are turned upward in giving thanks, which frees us to enjoy each other without the stress of gift-giving.
These past four Thanksgiving holidays have made me even more grateful for friends. Each year we have been graciously invited to join a friend’s Thanksgiving table–a different family each time. For me, holidays have typically centered around family. But, now that we live on the other side of the country from all of our family, holidays are more about friends. We are blessed to have friends who are so giving. Friends who invite us into their families and love our little Silas.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends and family! We are thankful for you!
