Crossroad’s 2009 summer intern, Robert, has enriched the ministry of our church in so many ways–piano accompaniment, special music, song leading, giving devotionals at youth group, and being and encouragement to all of us. During each break he gets from school, Rob faithfully attends Crossroad Baptist and puts his heart into it.
He is now engaged to the love of his life, Jenel, and they will be getting married this December 28th. Our church wanted to throw them a surprise bridal shower, so we decided to do it at our house last Saturday. We invited all the families of the church since it was to be a Jack & Jill shower.
I decided to try my hand at making cupcake toppers.
They weren’t hard to make, just a little time consuming. I had so much fun decorating for the party.
Rob and Jenel were actually surprised! Rob was asked to bring some chairs to ensure that he would actually come to the “church fellowship.” They didn’t suspect a thing until they saw Jenel’s parents cruising the neighborhood near our house. Such a sweet couple that desires to serve the Lord!
What is a Jack and Jill shower? I’ve never heard of that for a bridal shower.
It’s just another name for a couple’s wedding shower or co-ed shower.
