As the veterans passed by we clapped. We stayed for the entire parade to show honor to all of the many veterans who paraded by. Tears came to our eyes as we saw the smiling faces of Vietnam veterans who were finally receiving the heroes’ welcome they deserved.

I loved seeing the veterans in the crowd saluting their comrades. Those in the parade often stopped to thank the vets watching along the way.
