Plymouth

Charis had been wanting us to come up for a visit, so we decided to drive up to Plymouth on Friday night. We ended up needing to stay and finish up some things at work before leaving, but we managed to arrive at Charis’ before 10pm. Her new couch is so cute! I had seen it at the store, but it makes her apartment look so much more comfy!

Saturday morning Charis made us bacon and eggs. What a yummy way to start the day! She then took us to the library and the park. The sun was shining down from a clear blue sky. It was a little chilly, but the fall feeling was nice. I really liked walking along the creek in the forest. Then we headed to a small nearby town for coffee. The coffee shop was closed, so we went a little further to Nappanee where there are several Amish farms. We came across Amish Acres–a farm, gift shop, restaurant, and round barn theater where plays are performed. We decided to get some lunch and look around for a little bit. Fall is such a pretty season with all the pumpkins, mums, and cornstalks. Too bad our camera is out of commission for a while, or I could’ve posted some pictures.

Back in Plymouth, Charis took us to a Fall Festival hosted by a family in her church. It was nice to get to meet some of the people Charis talks about. The Lord has really blessed her with a friendly church and a job she loves–teaching German!
