Summer Peas

As I sat, shelling peas on our lawn swing by the pond, I was reminded of my Pop-pop’s farm in Maryland. My cousin Laura and I once went into the field of peas and ate some–fresh out of the pod. There’s a lot to be said for the simplicity of farm life. Many times I’ve wished that I could’ve grown up on a farm. At least I can visit my family’s farm. Check out my cousin’s blog to see what I’m talking about.

A couple in our church graciously gave us some peas and beans from their garden. They like to tithe on their garden produce by giving some to church and school employees. Again, a practical example of what a Christian looks like in the countryside of life.

This is our swing and “lake house” down by the pond. Of course it really belongs to the church. Maybe soon I can give you the full virtual tour of our little home.
