Concert in the Park

I love attending community events! When I lived in St. George, Utah, my friend Tara and I would seek out festivals, plays, and concerts to attend. St. George is full of performing arts productions. We were able to hear the King Singers perform, as well as the five Brown brothers and sisters who are all exceptionally talented pianists.

Anyway, after our special Red, White, and Blue service at church on June 29th, we headed to Shadyside Park where the Anderson Symphony Orchestra was presenting a patriotic concert. I felt very American sitting on a grassy hillside with hundreds of fellow “Andersonians” while we listened to songs such as The Stars and Stripes Forever and Military theme songs. They even fired off a few fireworks. Amy, her friend Cameron, Tim, and Ben were with us. What a great way to celebrate our country’s birthday!

Whoa! What a cutie! 🙂

Happy Birthday, America!
