It finally happened: Stephen’s ’95 Toyota Camry kicked the bucket. We bought that “beater” off Craigslist in 2010. Despite its age, the Camry has faithfully driven Stephen all over the valley. I don’t envy Stephen having to drive stick in Phoenix traffic!
After leaking oil for a couple months, the Camry wasn’t safe to drive any more and needed to be replaced. It had over 200,000 miles on it!
Stephen decided on a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. It has enough room for two car seats in the back if we need it. The hatchback also lets him haul his computer gear around. Switching from the Camry to the Vibe was like upgrading from a telephone to a smart phone. Stephen is loving all the features of a vehicle fourteen years newer.
Looks good! Reliability is a wonderful feature in a car 🙂
