One month ago today you opened your eyes for the first time and took a breath. We opened our hearts and our arms to welcome you into our family. We are holding you tight.

Your chubby cheeks and tiny body covered in peach fuzz are endearing. Mommy kisses the palms of your clenched fists. The roundness of the bottoms of your feet won’t last, but our love for you will.

Cooper, we love being a family of four–with you as our newest member. Friends say you look like Daddy. You fill our home with precious newborn-ness. Your smell, your noises, your falling-asleep-smiles, your cuddles.
